By IL2L @ Jan 17, 2012 in News

Have you always wanted to work in fashion but had no idea where to start? Today could be your lucky day!

IL2L has teamed up with Look Magazine to give away the chance to win a 2 week internship at IL2L HQ in Manchester. During your time with us you'll be spending time with everyone from the design team to the merchandising department. It will be a fun and educational experience, not to mention gold dust for your CV!

To be in with a chance, send an email to winyourdreamlife@look.co.uk. In a paragraph, tell Look Magazine a bit about yourself, whether you have any fashion experience (not necessary) and how you think this internship would change your life and why.

The internship is unpaid but minimal travel expenses will be covered. Make sure you get your entry in by the 1st of February 2012 (all entrants must be over 18). Good luck!

My name is elisha, at the minute i am trying to get back into school to re attempt my GCSEs, i had left school last year having all the intentions on becoming a hairdresser as i had loved doing my friends hair, then people had seen the upstyles i was doing in my friends hair and had ask me to do their hairs for going to weddings/parties etc and that give me the boost and the condifidence and made me more interested in becoming a hairdresser. When i had left school last may i had applied for a tech but they could not take me to September so i waited until September and the first two months were great but then i had reliase thats not really what i want to do and i left. Ive been trying for two months to try and get into fashion at different techs but ive been knocked back as they said its half way through the term that i would have to wait until september, which isnt any good for me as i will be 18 and i would then have to pay for the course but my family hasnt got the money to pay me throught the course so i am hoping school will let me back in to get my GCSEs then hopefully my a levels then on to univeristy to study fashion fingers crossed! When i seen this in look magazine i jumped at the opportunity to apply as this would be a great eperience for me.

My name is Corrie and I am currently completing my third year as an Interactive Media arts student. In my course we used software just as adobe photoshop, flash etc to create animation and website. I have attended the University of Ulster campus in Coleraine but I am originally from the town of Londonderry. Approaching the end of my undergraduate degree I should really have an Idea of what I want to do on a professional level but i really don't have a clue. Currently I am working within a cinema as een interest for film but before that I spent a summer working for Disney as a lifeguard and really I want to get as much experience as possible in different fields. The job I always thought I would like to do was do handling for customs or the police but as government jobs are not recruiting at the moment I am having to consider other options. I have always considered myself a fashionable person and I dress quirky and to my own style. I am a very organised person and I always like to be on time. This internship could change my life by giving me the chance to get my foot in the door to what potentially could be the start of the rest of my career.
